Improving Hands-on Experience in Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy (OH) with Advance Medicare Corpora
Jakarta, May 18, 2026 – Technological advancements in the field of medicine, particularly in obstetrics and gynecology, continue to drive the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques that are more modern, effective, and safe for patients. Gynecologic laparoscopy and office hysteroscopy (OH) have now become an important part of managing various gynecological cases because they offer better visualization, minimal tissue trauma, and faster recovery times compared to conventional surgical procedures.
To enhance the competencies of medical personnel in this field, a workshop titled “Basic Surgical Skills in Gynecologic Laparoscopy and Office Hysteroscopy (OH)” was held on May 18–20, 2026, at the Center for Academic, Innovation, Technology, and Health Research (PAMITRAN UP), University of Padjadjaran, Bandung.
This event was intended for obstetricians and gynecologists, participants in the Specialist Physician Education Program (PPDS), and medical personnel interested in developing skills in minimally invasive gynecological surgery. Over the course of three days, participants received theoretical instruction, demonstrations of instrument use, and hands-on workshops led directly by experienced instructors and experts.
The training curriculum covered an introduction to basic gynecologic laparoscopy, office hysteroscopy (OH), instrument techniques, camera handling, and simulations of minimally invasive surgical procedures. One of the procedures highlighted in this training was salpingectomy the surgical removal of the fallopian tubes using a laparoscopic approach.
To ensure the smooth running of the event, Advance Medicare Corpora participated as a support system, providing endoscopic devices and instruments throughout the training. Thanks to this support, participants were able to gain hands-on experience using endoscopic products that facilitate optimal visualization and ease of use in minimally invasive procedures. The use of the tower camera system helps participants understand anatomy and surgical procedures with clearer and more detailed images, while Bettocchi instruments provide a more effective and comfortable practical experience in office hysteroscopy.
In addition to theoretical sessions, participants also took part in hands-on workshops and live laparoscopic procedure simulations. This interactive learning approach is expected to enhance participants’ understanding, skills, and confidence in applying gynecologic minimally invasive surgery techniques at their respective healthcare facilities.
