Jakarta, June 12, 2026 – Patient safety is the top priority in every healthcare setting. One of the key factors supporting this safety is the decontamination process for reusable medical devices. For semi critical medical devices that come into contact with mucous membranes or broken skin, the High Level Disinfection (HLD) process is a mandatory step to prevent the risk of cross-infection.

To address this need, the Tristel Stella System offers a modern solution for a fast, effective, and documented HLD process. This system is designed to help hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities maintain infection control standards while improving operational efficiency.

The Tristel Stella System employs a standardized process, ensuring that every HLD cycle is performed consistently and in accordance with validated protocols. The system also supports documentation and tracking to facilitate the audit process.

The need for high level disinfection systems continues to grow as the use of semi critical medical devices such as ultrasound probes, certain endoscopes, and various other diagnostic instruments expands. Manual disinfection methods are often operator dependent and can lead to process variability. With the Tristel Stella System, healthcare facilities can implement a more controlled and consistent process to support patient safety.

To accommodate various types of medical instruments, the Tristel Stella System is available in three variants: the Stella System A, B, and C.

  • The Stella System A is specifically designed for semi-critical medical devices without a lumen or instruments that lack a working channel. This system offers a high-level disinfection process with a cycle time of approximately 5 minutes, making it ideal for healthcare facilities with high device turnover rates.

  • The Stella System B can be used for semi-critical devices with a single working channel as well as instruments without a lumen. With these capabilities, this system offers greater flexibility than the Stella System A, while still maintaining an efficient processing time of approximately 5 minutes per cycle.

  • The Stella System C is a model equipped with a pre-cleaning process using non-enzymatic detergent prior to the high level disinfection stage. This system can be used for single channel and non lumen semi critical instruments and provides optimal HLD performance. Due to the additional cleaning step, the cycle time for the Stella System C is approximately 10 minutes per cycle, including both the pre-cleaning and disinfection processes.

The use of the Tristel Stella System offers a range of benefits for healthcare facilities. Medical personnel and sterilization staff can enjoy a simpler, standardized workflow. Hospital management finds it easier to meet audit and accreditation requirements and ensure compliance with infection control protocols. Meanwhile, patients receive better protection against the risk of cross-contamination resulting from the use of medical devices that have not undergone an optimal disinfection process.

In addition, the relatively short processing time allows medical devices to be reused more quickly than with some conventional methods. This can help improve service efficiency without compromising the quality of infection control.
