Jakarta, July 4, 2026 – Advances in science and technology in the field of urology continue to bring about various innovations that support improvements in the quality of healthcare services. The use of minimally invasive surgical techniques, high resolution visualization systems, and increasingly precise instruments encourages medical professionals to continually update their knowledge and skills so they can provide services in line with current clinical practices.

As part of these efforts, The 43rd Fiesta Urology is once again being held as an annual scientific event by the University of Airlangga (Unair) Education Center, specifically the Department of Urology. This event brings together urology specialists, medical students, academics, and medical device industry partners through a series of workshops, symposia, and exhibitions designed to broaden scientific knowledge while enhancing clinical competencies.

The series of events began with an Advanced Laparoscopy Workshop (Animal Wet Lab) held on July 4, 2026, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Hospital (RS FKH) of Airlangga University. Through simulations of radical nephrectomy and radical cystectomy procedures, the veterinarians had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the stages of laparoscopic procedures in a structured learning environment. This session utilized the Karl Storz 4K Tower along with urological laparoscopic instruments, which provided clear visualization of the anatomy, thereby making the learning process more effective.

The activities continued with the Endofest PCNL and Mini PCNL sessions on July 8–10, 2026, at the Integrated Surgical Center (GBPT) of Dr. Soetomo General Hospital in Surabaya. Unlike the previous session, which focused on laparoscopy, this training provided hands-on experience with Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) techniques for the treatment of kidney stones. Participating physicians learned how to use Karl Storz Mini PCNL instruments in sizes S, M, and L, while also gaining an understanding of instrument selection based on the specific procedure requirements and the patient’s condition.

Another topic of interest was HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate). In this session, the discussion focused on techniques for treating benign prostate enlargement using a minimally invasive approach. In addition to understanding the procedural workflow, participants were also introduced to the use of BipoLEP, HoLEP, and Karl Storz morcellator instruments, which play a role in each stage of prostate enucleation.

The highlight of the event will take place on July 10–11, 2026, with the Main Symposium and Exhibition at the JW Marriott Surabaya. This scientific forum will feature a variety of discussions on the latest developments in the field of urology, while also serving as a platform for participants to interact directly with various innovative medical devices used in daily practice.

In the exhibition area, Advance Medicare Corpora showcased a variety of solutions from Karl Storz, Storz Medical, and Sound Reach. The diverse range of devices introduced included endoscopic visualization systems, endourological instruments, laparoscopic instruments, and devices supporting modern urological procedures. The exhibition provided attendees with an opportunity to gain insight into the implementation of these technologies in various clinical procedures.

In addition to participating in the exhibition, Advance Medicare Corpora also supported a series of workshops by providing the equipment and instruments used during the training sessions. This involvement offered a more practical hands-on experience, allowing participants to learn how to use the instruments according to the specific needs of the procedures they were studying.

Through a combination of hands-on training, scientific discussions, and a medical technology exhibition, The 43rd Fiesta Urology served as a platform for collaboration among urology practitioners to update their competencies while keeping pace with the latest developments in surgical devices. It is hoped that the synergy between educational institutions, hospitals, professional organizations, and industry will continue to drive improvements in the quality of urological care in Indonesia through the implementation of procedures that are increasingly effective, precise, and patient-safety-oriented.
