Through Refreshment Training
Jakarta, September 10, 2026 – Refreshment Training is one of Advance Medicare Corpora’s after-sales services designed to help hospital staff properly understand the use and maintenance of medical equipment. This activity was conducted with the operating room (OR) team and the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) team at Pantai Indah Kapuk Hospital (RS PIK) on August 20, 2026, as an opportunity to refresh their knowledge and practices regarding the use of equipment in daily activities.
During the session, participants received a refresher on various medical devices, ranging from monitors, light sources, telescopes, and instruments to flexible endoscopes. The material covered the functions and use of the equipment, as well as important considerations for their handling and maintenance.
Besides learning the theory, participants also engaged in hands-on practice. Some of the activities included installing a head camera, checking xenon light indicators, handling malfunctioning instruments, and inspecting the unit for leaks. These practical exercises helped participants review the proper steps for using the equipment and understand the precautions to take during its use.
The use of equipment is not only about how to operate it, but also how to maintain it in good condition. Therefore, participants revisited the steps involved in cleaning, reprocessing, inspection, maintenance, and sterilization, tailored to the type and needs of the equipment.
The discussion also covered daily care, such as the use of appropriate cleaning solutions, how to store telescopes and instruments, and the use of instrument oil and lubricants. Understanding these steps is essential for maintaining the condition of the equipment during routine use.
This event also served as a forum for discussion between the PIK Hospital team and Advance Medicare Corpora. The hospital team shared their experiences and challenges encountered while using the equipment, and the Advance Medicare Corpora team provided explanations tailored to the specific needs discussed. Thus, the discussion focused not only on the material but also on the real-world conditions faced by users in the field.
